On 28th July 2022, there were Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) represented by Fr. Dr. MUNANA Gilber, O.P., Vice chancellor, and Sina Gérar/Entrprise Urwibutso represented by SINA Gérard, the owner and Managing Director.
The event took place at Nyirangarama, in Rulindo District from 10:00am to 11:00am. The signed MoU defines the modalities for collaboration between both parties and spells out the broad activities to be implemented, obligations of each party, measures to safeguard implementation, provisions for modification and duration of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
The main objective of this Memorandum of Understanding is to promote the cooperation of both parties in integral development of Rwndans. The MoU determines the terms and conditions of involvement and participation of UTAB and SINA Gérard/Ese URWIBUTSO, in the fields of education, professional training, research, and dissemination of knowledge in entrepreneurship development, agriculture, food processing, renewable energy and other needed skills.
The parties agreed upon to promote the sharing of the best agricultural practices, food processing knowledge and resources, Entrepreneurship development and human resource skills available within their area of expertise, the organization of joint research, conference, seminars, consultancy work, community engagement, entrepreneurships, innovation, capacity building and development, use of infrastructures such as laboratories, land, etc.
