On April 4, 2025, a significant milestone was reached for the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) as its delegation visited the Kigali headquarters of CHANCEN International for the official signing of a transformative agreement. The partnership centers around the “Study Now, Pay Later” program—a groundbreaking initiative aimed at making higher education more accessible to students from low-income backgrounds.
Under this agreement, CHANCEN International will provide financial support to eligible UTAB students, allowing them to pursue their academic goals without the immediate burden of tuition fees. Students will only begin repaying the funds once they secure employment after graduation. The first intake of students to benefit from the program is scheduled for May 2025.
