From 16th to 26th August 2024, in MUSANZE district, UTAB has participated in Northern Province PSF Expo 2024. It was a big opportunity to UTAB to demonstrate to public its daily activities especially in research-based technology.
As a technology University, UTAB has shown its findings about helping community in sustainable development and in promoting high quality education. UTAB has been awarded the Award of innovations and Research and contribution in bringing solutions oriented to fight against malnutrition in Northern Province based on its undoubted life transformational products shown in Northern Province PSF Expo 2024

In his speech, The Governor of Northern Province Mr. MUGABOWABAHUNDE Maurice, has thanked all participants for attending in this exhibition and encourage all Universities which are in this Province to focus on doing researches which will transform peopleβs lives and lead to sustainable development of the Province.
UTAB has shown many findings like Hydroponic Folders which innovative plantation resilient to climate change especially responding to issues of dry seasons and nutrients for Livestock; Pineapples produced under Ecological Organic Agriculture Project of UTAB in which it works hand in hand with Gakenke pineapple Agriculturists; IMO (Indigenous Micro organic ) Solution: a local product made in Rice and small quantity of sugar to remove bad smell in Livestock farms; simple irrigation system; electrical line accident protection system; solar energy electrification; Marshland fertilizer for seeds which is cost effective; seeds of Beans and wheat of highland and mountains raised by UTAB in Kaniga.

UTAB has taken an opportunity to explain to people who visited its stand about its faculties and how to enroll in UTAB. It has also announced that it has been accredited as training center of Certified Professional Accountants (CPA) and encourages everyone who is interested to join.
Participating in exhibitions is the best exposure of UTAB innovations and creativity in Teaching, Research and Community Outreach and it is a vibrant time for community engagement, knowledge exchange, and inspiration.
