The University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the University of Gdańsk, Poland, from 29 June to 3 July 2026. The visit marked another important milestone in the growing partnership between the two institutions and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing academic excellence through international collaboration.
The primary objective of the visit was to conduct teaching sessions and hold strategic seminars aimed at strengthening cooperation between UTAB and the University of Gdańsk. Throughout the visit, members of the delegation engaged with UTAB academic staff, researchers, and students, sharing knowledge and expertise in their respective fields while fostering meaningful academic exchange.
In addition to the teaching activities, both institutions held productive discussions on expanding their partnership through new collaborative initiatives. Particular emphasis was placed on identifying future joint projects that will contribute to innovation, research excellence, and capacity building. The meetings also explored opportunities to increase the number of co-authored scientific publications in internationally recognized journals, further enhancing the global visibility and research impact of both universities.
The visit provided an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening professional networks, and identifying areas of mutual interest that will benefit staff, students, and the wider academic community. It also demonstrated the importance of international partnerships in promoting quality education, research, and innovation.
