From September 16–21, 2025, the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba (UTAB) had the great pleasure of hosting Dr. Wioleta Gierszewska from the University of Gdańsk, Poland.
During her visit, Dr. Gierszewska delivered a series of lectures and interactive sessions that were attended by both students and academic staff. Her engaging teaching style and insightful presentations inspired participants and enriched academic discussions across multiple disciplines.

Beyond the lectures, an important part of the visit focused on discussions about strengthening cooperation between the University of Gdańsk and UTAB. The meetings emphasized:
- Opportunities for developing academic and research collaboration;
- Exchange of experiences and best practices in teaching and learning;
- Implementation of new joint projects in education and research;
- Increasing the number of joint publications by scholars from both institutions.
This visit marks another step forward in UTAB’s commitment to fostering international partnerships, promoting academic excellence, and creating global learning and research opportunities for its community.
